The Best Places To Get Stuff Free

Who doesn't love free stuff? I'm always on the look out for ways to save money and for free samples. One benefit of getting free samples or coupons from companies is that it gives you a chance to try out the product to see if you like it before buying it. Where are some good places to find free samples and free stuff on the internet? Believe it or not the best place I have found for free samples is Walmart.com.

Walmart.com has some great free samples listed! Just go to the search bar on their website and type in free samples. A listing will come up with companies that are offering free samples and instructions on how to obtain them. The list is updated quite often so be sure and check it daily. Some of the free samples I have gotten from doing this include:

*laundry detergent

*maxipads

*coffee

*facial cleanser

*food samples

*food storage bags

*shampoo and conditioner

*diapers

Some other free things that you can find on their Free Sample website page include:

*Free Trials- magazines, games, and companies like Vonage can be found in this section.

*Special Savings- you can purchase discounted tickets in this section for theme parks, dinner, shows and special attractions.

My other favorite place to find free stuff is Craigslist. You can search your local area for people who are giving away free items. I was amazed at the number of free things being given away and also the quality of the items. You can find free furniture, computers, monitors, and TV's. The list is endless. I have even seen free dirt being given away! Some of the better items don't last very long so if your interested in obtaining something free be sure and jump right on it before it disappear!!

Couponing 101: First steps on the saving journey

Knowing where to start can be overwhelming for a new coupon shopper! First, think about your grocery bills today. Make a mental list of what you buy most frequently. This list may include cereal, pasta, bottled juices and other packaged items, fresh meat and produce and personal care items, such as toothpaste, shampoo and razors.


Aim to cut your current budget in half. While some weeks your outlay may be higher or lower, each week's bill should average out to half of what you spend today.


How do you do this? By saving coupons to use during a good sale and by stocking up when prices are lowest. It's crucial to shop according to the pricing cycles at a store. Prices fluctuate from high to low on any given product, typically in a 12-week pattern. Perhaps you usually purchase only what you'll use in a week. As you embark on your first couponing adventure, you must focus on a longer timeframe. Stock up on an item you frequently use when it hits its lowest price.


If you eat one box of cereal every two weeks, buy six when your favorite brand goes on sale.




Here's another simple tip to help you know how much to buy: Any time you see an item on sale, especially if is a half or a third off its regular price, buy multiples that equal the original price of the item. For example, if a jar of pasta sauce regularly priced at $2.99 is on sale for 99 cents, buy three jars. Even if you don't use coupons, you'll pay $2.99 for three jars instead of one. Extreme Couponing: Searching for the Deals

Now, rather than waiting a full week for the Sunday paper to cash in on the coupon mother lode, you can proactively seek out the coupon you need when you need it.

The Coupon Community (or “Team Mom” as my friends call it) collectively band together to find the best deals, exchanging coupons with each other like “Magic: The Gathering” aficionados trade cards. The massive popularity of Extreme Couponing on TLC, The Krazy Coupon Lady, and the like, is further indication that couponing not only isn’t slowing down, but is actually gaining steam.

ComScore search data on couponing presents an interesting picture. Between December 2010 and December 2011, searches for “coupon” and “coupons” (broad matched) ballooned to over 63 million for a year-over-year increase of 37 percent. The total audience of coupon searchers is also growing, up 24 percent to 21 million searchers at an average of 3 searches per searcher.
